I first tried Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in my early 20s while living in Melbourne. I immediately fell in love with the sport and competed after only six weeks of training where I managed to win my first Pan Pacific title – from that time I have loved competing and have since won 11 Pan Pacific titles (across all coloured belts). I have competed all over the world including several times at the IBJJF World Championship, managing to win a silver medal at brown belt, 2 x bronze medals at purple belt and a silver medal at blue belt. One of my proudest competition moments was winning the Abu Dhabi trials in Sydney in the brown/black belt division (after several years of trying) which included an all expenses paid trip to compete in the Abu Dhabi World Pro.
My Jiu Jitsu journey has taken me all over the world – I have trained and competed extensively while living in Japan, Canada and the United States as well as living and training in Melbourne and Sunshine Coast in Australia.
In 2016 I moved back to my hometown Adelaide and opened Adelaide Jiu Jitsu Academy where I coach both kids and adults. I love coaching and am especially passionate about teaching Jiu Jitsu to the next generation.
